A service collects over 100k games from PlayStation Store, updates prices, and provides game search for a resale service.
Request
A 40,000-50,000-item catalog took 8-12 hours to collect through browser automation, requiring powerful hardware and high proxy spending. Price delays sometimes caused the service to sell games at outdated discounted prices. The client needed faster catalog updates, an API, and search that handled synonyms and typos.
Implementation
We analyzed the requests made by the PlayStation Store interface and replaced browser automation with direct API data collection. We configured Elasticsearch to handle synonyms and title typos, using AI and Yandex Wordstat to compile search variants for the top 100 games. An admin panel provides search statistics, popular-game rankings, and synonym uploads.
Results
Proxy usage fell by 97%, while the catalog grew from 40,000-50,000 to 100,000 items. New games now appear within two hours instead of 8-12 hours, and prices update with no more than a 30-minute delay. Faster updates reduced the risk of selling games at outdated prices.
